After the machine is placed and assembled by the customer, an SCM factory-trained technician comes on site to verify alignment, make any necessary adjustments, and train the operator. The technician visit does not include running electrical service, floor or masonry work, or dust extraction lines those are completed before the technician arrives.

MK5 Interchangeable Spindle with T-SET Preset: The MK5 Morse taper is the largest in SCMs fixed spindle lineup. The self-holding geometry means cutting forces increase grip between spindle shaft and socket rather than loosening it. T-SET preset is standard the spindle is already machined for SCMs pneumatic rapid locking mechanism. The T-SET air gun is an optional add-on.
Normalized Welded Steel Base: The frame is fabricated by welding, then heat-treated through normalization to relieve internal stresses and stabilize the metal dimensionally. Every mechanism mounts and aligns to this single reference frame. No bolted castings, no alignment shift under sustained load.
7″ Working Height Below the Nut: Seven inches of usable spindle height lets you run a complete cabinet door set stile, rail, and raised panel profiles stacked on one spindle. All three cuts happen by adjusting spindle height. No tool change between operations.
Large Spindle Assembly: SCM builds the spindle unit as a high-mass assembly. The increased spindle mass absorbs vibration before it reaches the cutter head. The spindle is enclosed in a cast-iron cup that protects internal components from shavings and sawdust.
5-Speed Configuration with Electronic Display: Speeds of 3,000 / 4,500 / 6,000 / 7,000 / 10,000 RPM. The 3,000 RPM setting opens up large-diameter tooling options raised panel profiles, full cabinet door sets, and large moulding heads that exceed safe peripheral speed limits at higher settings. Indicator lights confirm selected speed.
Front-Accessible Handwheels: Both the spindle height handwheel and fence adjustment handwheels are positioned for access from the front of the machine. The fence adjusts in two planes: total fence position relative to tool centerline, and infeed fence position for cut depth.
Fence with Relocating Pins and Mechanical Readouts: Mechanical readouts on both fence adjustments give accurate positioning without test cuts. Relocating pins allow fence removal for cutter access and exact return to the previous setting.
Mechanical Brake + Foot Pedal Spindle Lock: The main motor brake stops the spindle quickly after shutoff. The foot pedal locks the spindle for cutter changes, freeing both hands.
Reverse Spindle Rotation: Electrical interlocking on reverse rotation prevents unintended direction changes.
CSA-Rated Electrical Components: All electrical components carry CSA certification. An auxiliary low-voltage circuit (110V internal transformer) runs controls separately from the 220V drive circuit. The main power switch locks in the off position with a padlock.

Warranty
SCM warrants every machine free of defects in workmanship and materials for one (1) year from the date of customer acceptance. Belts, bearings, and common electrical parts carry a six-month warranty. Wearable items and components requiring maintenance in ordinary operation are excluded.
