The riving knife helps reduce kickback and optimizes performance on your JET Deluxe XACTA Table Saw. The low profile allows you to make non-thru cuts and pass the wood directly over the knife. It also allows you to use thin kerf blades, which reduces waste!
The saw blade and riving knife must be in line as close as possible with each other (lateral alignment) for the prevention of kickback.
