Description
[short]
1/0 Type UL MV105 Single Conductor Shielded EPR Insulation PVC Jacket Copper Power Cable 24kV / 35kV
Applications:
The mv105 copper cable is an electrical wire used for power circuits up to 24,000/35,000 Volts when fixed in open air, conduit, or duct; in applications such as chemical plants, refineries, steel mills, industrial plants, commercial buildings, utility substations, and generating stations. The National Electric Code accepts this electrical cable for uses within 105C for continuous operation, 140C for emergency overload conditions, and 250C for short circuit conditions.
Also Known As:
1/0 awg medium voltage power cables, 1/0 awg mv power cable, 1/0 awg mv105 cable, mv105, 1/0mv power cable, 1/0mv105 cable, 1/0 mv105.
Standards:
- ICEA S-93-639
- NEMA WC74
- AEIC CS8
- Federal Specification J-C-30B
Construction
Conductors:
The MV power cable conductor is made of copper with a semi-conducting conductor shield: soft bare annealed copper per ASTM B-3, Class B stranding per ASTM B-8 (compressed), or ASTM B-496 (compact).
Insulation:
A strong and enduring ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) is used as the insulation system. The good thing about this insulation is how friendly it is to human hands since it is a rubber, a material that tends to be soft but guarantees profound and reliable safety wires. This insulation is also environmentally friendly, it doesnt have some toxins which can cause harm to human, animals, and plants health.
Jacket:
Reinforced insulation is provided by a PVC jacket, which is sunlight-resistant, per ICEA S-97-682 and UL Standard 1072.
Specifications:
- AWG Size: 1/0
- Number of Strands: 19
- Overall Diameter (inches): 1.39
- Net Weight (Lbs/1000FT): 1160
