Description:
Designed to slit and ring a wide range of tight buffers, loose-tube buffers, breakout cables, and other jacketed fiber cables, this tool is an essential addition to any fiber technicians kit.
Features:
An L-shaped hardened steel guide and blade guard engineered to slit cable jackets cleanly while protecting the buffer tubes and fibers inside
A slitter blade positioned at the top of the tool with 1/4″ exposed, secured by a 3/4″ L-shaped steel guidelonger than the guide used on the JIC-4377 for enhanced control
A ring-cutting mechanism located on the back of the handle, featuring a spring-steel cable holder and an adjustable sliding metal tensioner to increase pressure and ensure complete jacket penetration
Ringer capability for cables ranging from 3/16″ to 1/2″ (4.712.7 mm) in diameter, suitable for cutting through plastic, rubber, or fabric sheathing with thicknesses of 0.031″ (0.787 mm) or 0.018″ (0.457 mm)
Includes one spare ringing blade and one spare slitting blade
