About:
Structured Media Centers provide an excellent termination and mounting location for in-home structured wiring systems and components. The 42-inch Vented Hinged Doorallows for improved wireless network reach, as opposed to standard metal doors that can limit the range of a wireless signal. The door can mount on plastic and metal Structured Media Centers.
Common Applications:
Smart Home Control Centers: It serves as a nerve center for smart home systems, integrating various subsystems such as lighting, climate control, security, and entertainment.
Large Home Networks: For residential properties with extensive networking needs, it can house routers, switches, modems, and patch panels, providing a central point for home networking.
Small Business IT Infrastructure: In a small business setting, the enclosure can manage the companys network infrastructure, supporting multiple workstations, printers, servers, and telecommunication systems.
Multimedia Distribution: It can be used for centralizing the distribution of audio and video signals throughout the property, including satellite, cable, and streaming services.
Telecommunications Hub: As the central distribution point for telephone lines, VoIP systems, and data connections in multi-unit dwellings or office buildings.
Features:
Uses ABS polymer construction to permit the full reach of wireless signals by diminishing the effect of interference
180-degree hinged cover allows for quick and easy access to network equipment Makes servicing and expansion easy with seven 1-inch and three 2-inch knockouts and additional 1-inch nested knockouts
Compatible with Leviton Connected Home patch panels, voice, data, video, and audio distribution modules
Assures safety with UL compliant ABS flame-retardant polymer
Vented door assists in airflow for cooling active gear
Ratcheting Hinge & Latch System creates fast, tool-free door installations and helps accommodate for wall imperfections
Existing metal enclosure can be retrofitted for RF transparency by using Trim Ring Accessory (49605-42T) and door (49605-42S)
